Introduction
This case study showcases a full-size 400m standard synthetic running track project, completed with a striking custom purple EPDM rubber surface. Designed to meet international athletic standards while delivering a bold, modern aesthetic, the track was installed for a public sports facility seeking both durability and visual distinction.
Our ApproacH
We tailored a complete solution based on the client’s requirements and site conditions:
Custom Color Matching: We developed a unique purple EPDM granule formula, ensuring consistent color batches to avoid on-site color differences.
High-Quality Material Selection: We provided 1-3.5mm EPDM granules (Safixland Core series，ROHS/REACH compliant) for the base layer and 1-2mm fine granules for the top spray layer, paired with our aliphatic PU binder for maximum UV resistance and anti-yellowing performance.
Stable Supply & Technical Support: We guaranteed on-time full-container delivery to meet the construction schedule, and provided on-site construction guidance to ensure proper mixing ratio and curing conditions.
Durability Assurance: Our material system is designed to maintain its vibrant color and structural integrity for 8+ years, even under continuous use and UV exposure.
WHAT WE DID
For this project, we supplied the full range of core materials and technical expertise to bring the custom purple track to life:
