Introduction
This is a standard 400m school athletics track, built for daily physical education classes, training, and school sports events. The client required a high-performance, durable track surface that meets national safety standards, offers excellent slip resistance, and maintains consistent performance under heavy student foot traffic and all weather conditions. The bright blue color scheme was chosen to complement the school’s modern campus design, while the core priorities were long-term UV stability, low maintenance, and reliable performance over years of use.
Our ApproacH
We delivered a full-system solution using our Safixland Pro Series (designed for high-traffic professional sports facilities):
Professional Grade Material Selection: We supplied 1-3.5mm EPDM granules for the base layer and 1-2mm fine granules for the spray top layer, both from the Safixland Pro Series (24% rubber content, ROHS/REACH compliant). This grade offers superior durability, elasticity, and UV resistance compared to standard grades.
High-Performance Binder System: The granules were paired with our aliphatic PU binder, which provides exceptional anti-yellowing performance and strong bonding, ensuring the bright blue color stays vibrant even under direct sunlight.
Construction & Quality Control Support: We provided detailed installation specifications for both the base and top layers, including mixing ratios, compaction guidelines, and curing timeframes, to ensure the track meets competition-level flatness and performance standards.
Long-Term Performance Assurance: The Pro Series system is engineered to withstand years of continuous use, with excellent wear resistance and consistent bounce-back properties, making it ideal for school athletics programs.
WHAT WE DID
• Delivered the full set of Safixland Pro Series blue EPDM granules and PU binder on schedule, meeting the school’s construction timeline perfectly.
• The finished track achieved a smooth, uniform surface with crisp white lane lines, meeting all safety and performance standards for school athletics.
• The track provides excellent shock absorption and slip resistance, creating a safe environment for students to train and compete.
