Introduction
This is a residential community outdoor fitness area, designed to provide a safe and durable space for residents of all ages to exercise outdoors. The project required a two-tone EPDM flooring system in vibrant orange and green, offering excellent slip resistance, impact absorption, and UV stability to withstand daily use by adults and children. The developer’s key requirements included a low-maintenance solution that matched the community’s modern design, delivered consistent color batches, and offered long-term durability under heavy foot traffic and outdoor conditions.
Our ApproacH
We developed a tailored solution using our Safixland Eco Series ( ideal for general-purpose community facilities):
Custom Two-Tone Color Matching: We precisely formulated bright orange and deep green EPDM granule colors, ensuring seamless transitions and sharp boundaries between the two zones, perfectly aligning with the site’s functional and design layout.
Cost-Effective & Safe Material Selection: We recommended 1-3.5mm EPDM granules (15% rubber content, ROHS/REACH compliant) paired with our aliphatic PU binder. This combination delivers reliable slip resistance, impact absorption, and anti-yellowing performance, perfectly balanced for community fitness areas.
Construction & Technical Support: We provided clear installation guidelines for multi-color boundary work, including mixing ratios, curing conditions, and on-site tips to prevent color bleeding, ensuring clean, crisp edges.
Low-Maintenance Durability: The Eco Series system is designed to resist fading, cracking, and wear, maintaining its bright colors and safety performance with minimal maintenance for years.
WHAT WE DID
