Community Playground

Introduction
This is a themed children’s playground in a modern residential community, designed with a whimsical “treehouse” concept to create an immersive play experience for kids aged 3–12. The project required a multi-color EPDM flooring system with custom graphics, offering excellent slip resistance, impact absorption, and UV stability to withstand daily use and outdoor conditions. The developer’s core priorities were: vibrant, consistent colors that complement the playful design, durable performance to ensure long-term safety, and a low-maintenance solution to reduce upkeep costs.
Our ApproacH
We developed a tailored solution using our Safixland Eco Series (ideal for residential playgrounds):
Custom Multi-Color & Graphic Design: We precisely formulated teal green, bright orange, and grey EPDM granule colors to bring the treehouse-themed playground to life, including custom text and decorative markings. We ensured consistent color batches and sharp definition for all graphic elements.
Safe & Cost-Effective Material Selection: We recommended 1-3.5mm EPDM granules (15% rubber content, ROHS/REACH compliant) paired with our aliphatic PU binder. This combination delivers reliable shock absorption, slip resistance, and anti-yellowing performance, perfectly balanced for community children’s areas.
Construction & Technical Support: We provided detailed installation guidelines for multi-color graphic work, including mixing ratios, curing conditions, and on-site tips to prevent color bleeding, ensuring clean, crisp lines for all patterns and markings.
Long-Term Durability Assurance: The Eco Series system is designed to resist fading, cracking, and wear, maintaining its bright colors and safety performance with minimal maintenance for years.
WHAT WE DID
• Delivered the custom-colored Safixland Eco Series EPDM granules on schedule, supporting the construction timeline without delays.
• The finished flooring achieved a smooth, seamless multi-zone surface with sharp, clear game graphics and path markings, perfectly bringing the all-inclusive playground design to life.
• The EPDM surface provides excellent shock absorption and slip resistance, creating a safe play environment for children using slides, climbing structures, and other play equipment.
