Introduction
This is a comprehensive school sports complex, including a standard 400m red athletics track and multiple outdoor basketball courts. Designed for daily PE classes, school competitions, and community sports activities, the project required a high-performance, durable EPDM flooring system that meets national sports facility standards. The school’s core priorities were: excellent slip resistance and shock absorption for student safety, long-term UV stability to prevent fading under strong sunlight, and consistent quality to withstand heavy daily use by students and athletes.
Our ApproacH
We delivered a tailored solution using our Safixland Pro Series (professional-grade for school and sports facilities):
Professional Grade Material Matching: For the red athletics track, we supplied 1-3.5mm base layer granules and 1-2mm fine spray granules from the Safixland Pro Series (24% rubber content, ROHS/REACH compliant). For the basketball courts, we provided specially formulated blue and pink EPDM granules to meet the high impact resistance requirements of ball sports.
High-Performance Binder System: All materials were paired with our aliphatic PU binder, which offers exceptional anti-yellowing performance and strong bonding. This ensures the track and courts maintain their vibrant colors and structural integrity even under years of direct sunlight and heavy use.
Construction & Technical Support: We provided detailed installation guidelines for both the track and basketball courts, including mixing ratios, compaction standards, and curing timeframes, to help the construction team meet competition-level flatness and performance requirements.
Long-Term Durability Assurance: The Pro Series system is engineered to withstand heavy foot traffic, weather changes, and continuous sports use, with excellent wear resistance and consistent shock absorption to meet the school’s long-term usage needs.
WHAT WE DID
• Delivered the full set of Safixland Pro Series EPDM granules (red) and PU binder on schedule, meeting the school’s construction timeline perfectly.
• The finished athletics track achieved a smooth, uniform surface with crisp white lane lines, and the basketball courts had clear, defined lines for competitive play.
• The entire sports complex meets all safety and performance standards, providing excellent slip resistance, shock absorption, and impact protection for students and athletes.
• The client was highly satisfied with the durability, color retention, and performance of our Pro Series materials, noting the sports complex has become a safe and vibrant hub for student activities.
