Introduction
This is a vibrant urban community public activity space, designed to serve residents of all ages as a multi-functional gathering and play area. The project required a custom multi-color EPDM flooring system with geometric patterns, offering excellent slip resistance, impact absorption, and UV stability to withstand year-round use and foot traffic. The developer’s core priorities were: bold, consistent colors that match the site’s artistic design, durable performance to maintain the space’s visual appeal over time, and a low-maintenance solution suitable for high-frequency community use.
Our ApproacH
We developed a tailored solution using our Safixland Eco Series ( ideal for general-purpose community spaces):
Custom Multi-Color & Pattern Design: We precisely formulated five coordinated colors (yellow, black, blue, purple, green) to bring the geometric art design to life, ensuring sharp lines, clean color transitions, and consistent batch-to-batch color quality.
Safe & Cost-Effective Material Selection: We recommended 1-3.5mm EPDM granules (15% rubber content, ROHS/REACH compliant) paired with our aliphatic PU binder. This combination delivers reliable shock absorption, slip resistance, and anti-yellowing performance, perfectly balanced for public community spaces.
Construction & Technical Support: We provided detailed installation guidelines for multi-color pattern work, including mixing ratios, curing conditions, and on-site tips to prevent color bleeding, ensuring crisp edges and seamless integration of all design elements.
Long-Term Durability Assurance: The Eco Series system is designed to resist fading, cracking, and wear, maintaining its bright colors and safety performance with minimal maintenance for years, even under heavy public use.
WHAT WE DID
