Community Playground

Introduction
This is a modern residential community children’s playground, themed on marine and exploration. Designed for kids aged 3–12, the project required a vibrant, safe, and durable EPDM flooring system that could support high foot traffic, complex geometric patterns, and meet strict safety standards for impact absorption and UV resistance. The developer’s core priorities were: seamless color matching with the ocean-themed design, long-term durability for heavy daily use, and a solution that balanced visual appeal with low maintenance costs.
Our ApproacH
We developed a tailored solution using our Safixland Core Series ( the most popular grade for residential playgrounds):
Custom Color & Pattern Matching: We formulated three coordinated blue shades (deep blue, medium blue, light blue) to bring the ocean theme to life, ensuring consistent color batches and sharp pattern definition for the circular and linear designs.
High-Performance Material Selection: We recommended 1-3.5mm EPDM granules (20% rubber content, ROHS/REACH compliant) for the base layer, paired with our aliphatic PU binder. This combination delivers excellent shock absorption, slip resistance, and anti-yellowing performance — ideal for high-traffic children’s areas.
Construction & Technical Support: We provided detailed installation guidelines for the multi-color pattern application, including mixing ratios, curing conditions, and on-site tips to avoid color bleeding and ensure clean, crisp lines.
Long-Term Durability Assurance: The Core Series is designed to resist fading, cracking, and wear, maintaining the vibrant blue tones and safety performance for years, even under continuous use and UV exposure.
WHAT WE DID
• Delivered the custom-colored Safixland Core Series EPDM granules on schedule, supporting the construction timeline perfectly.
• The finished flooring achieved a seamless, high-contrast multi-color surface, with sharp pattern lines that perfectly brought the ocean-themed design to life.
• The EPDM surface meets all safety requirements, providing excellent shock absorption and slip resistance for children playing on slides, climbers, and spinning equipment.
